Trademark Attorney

Duties include organizing, assisting and participating in corporate filings, registrations, and other filings with the Secretary of State of California, IRS, FTB, and USPTO including preparing and filing Articles of Incorporations, trademark registrations, Form 1023, bylaws, operating agreements replies to office actions, statement of uses, replies to oppositions, renewals, etc.

You are expected to prepare up to 15-20 "documents" per week or more. Position will also include managing client relations, and expectations (SOP is 3 business day turnaround for most document preparation.) Our clients include non profits, retailers, real estate companies, fashion, entertainment, etc. You will also be engaged regularly in research and writing internal and client memos.

Candidate should possess a working knowledge of basic corporate and trademark law. Research skills should be impeccable.

Because much of our work is for existing clients, candidate must be a proven performer who can meet time deadlines regularly, as well as, meet customer expectations in terms of providing them high quality work product and legal advice.

Candidate should have ability to explain "legal concepts" in simple terms. Candidate will be expected to handle matters such as court appearances and dealing with formation registrations and 501c3 registrations with the IRS to name a few matters.
